Brilliant, strong great design. I am very happy with it now it is finally up! Some of the components ie nails, screws could have been better quality and the instructions clearer and more consistent - the book, the videos and the actual spoken advice (which was the best) all differed slightly

Don't buy from them

Every single bit we needed was in the kit that arrived. Read, read the instructions and then watch the videos and read the instructions again. We plodded through it one step at a time a 5 days later we had ourselves a polytunnel. I am sure if it was the 5th one we had made it would have been faster but we will probably only ever make one. The screw things for fastening the steel tubes are not that effective better to premeasure and drill holes out in a vice with a drill bit ( and I went through a few of them!)

This is a great product, takes a bit to put together and is definitely a two or thee man job but gives an excellent product, very happy.

Product comes all wrapped up in individual manageable parcels. Accompanied by a how to build guide and loads of online videos. Exactly what I was hoping for when ordered

My experience with the ladies was first class !and Dawns Husband Was a STAR managing to make me a 50 ml frame for my 20x10 ft tunnel !! Sturdy product with comprehensive instructions and links to videos on how to complete each stage. Takes time but worth the effort

Firstly I feel it relevant to say that we're polytunnel newbies. We've never owned or built one before but we are DIY savvy with history in construction. We did our research before selecting First Tunnels to provide us with our first polytunnel and we've not regretted a single thing. Our 35ft long by 10ft wide Polytunnel came excellently packaged in many parts so as not to be too heavy, but as expected there were some extremely bulky packages and arrived on a 7.5t lorry which could be difficult for small streets. I was on my own for the delivery and am disabled, the driver was extremely helpful with assisting me to get it onto my property and didn't just dump it at the kerb. None of the parts were damaged in transit. Plus points to First Tunnels here for using a good courier company. The instructions are excellent and the two free books on how to care for and grow inside the polytunnel are perfect for newbies. The crop sow/harvest calendar, cheat wheel and free seeds are also welcome and useful additions. I think these two most important tips should be emphasised somewhere in the instructions though as they are game-changers: 1) Do yourself a favour and buy a deep socket for your drill as this makes the process go SO much faster than winding nuts and bolts by hand with a spanner. 2) I would highly recommend calling for at least two more friends on a tunnel this size to help. Due to all the upgrades we chose, it took my fiancée and I three weekends to build and we really struggled with the polythene by ourselves. If we bought the deep socket at the beginning and had some help with covering we might've finished it in two weekends. That's completely on us though but be warned this is a BIG construction project with hundreds of parts. They make it look so easy in the videos but it is hard, hard, hard, HARD work on a tunnel this size. If we were to do it again we'd pay First Tunnels to build it for us. Under 20ft though I reckon it'd have gone smoother on our own. With the exception of one packet of 4 screws (we've let them know and it's been forwarded to their technical dept), all materials, screws and sundries are of high quality. Thick and heavy galvanised tubing and clamps (we went for the thicker upgraded version). High quality thick aluminium extrusions, thick and high quality timber where needed, thick high quality ground sheet and the polythene is tough too. They've definitely not scrimped on the quality here. People and businesses are only human so sometimes things get missed, but you can judge a company very much on how they handle errors. First Tunnels have been nothing but amazing every time I've contacted them. They overnighted a Q clip when we discovered we were sent one in the wrong size and they are just now overnighting me some anti-hotspot tape as we were a little short. No fuss, no arguments, it was a pleasure talking with them every step of the way and they made sure our construction wasn't delayed. I highly recommend these folks, especially for your first tunnel (it's all in their name!). We will definitely keep using them. Cheers, Stew & Claire

Everything was of good quality and it was easy to erect. On the downside there seemed to be too many metal accessories and the sheet could have been about 1 meter longer it would have made fitting the sheet easier. Still delighted with my purchase.

A good quality polytunnel that was relatively easy to construct when using both the written instructions and the videos. During the build I did find that some parts were missing or incorrect but these were replaced within days. The customer service was excellent. Overall the polytunnel appears to be good stable structure. My only concern with this product was that the flattened ends of the tubes had been left with large sharp burrs which required removal for safety reasons and a couple of the tubes had also become squashed on the end preventing assembly but this was fairly easy to rectify.

Excellent product. Brilliant customer service. Manual could be more tailored to suit choices (was a lot of flicking back and forwards and a few errors in annotations but were minor) Had missing items but were delivered next day no questions asked. It is a tough few days graft to build the thing but certainly would be easier if we were to do it again. Great experience.

Great quality product, most of the instructions were easy to follow although some videos did not really help much because it showed a different type of tunnel. There was a missing part too, but it was shipped out quick. Not an easy product to assemble, you need at least two people, good weather and two or three days. Wife and I have done a good job.

Arrived in good time, all good strong quality. Should last for years. Construction help at end of phone and good videos on you tube.

I built the tunnel the week before storm Freya hit. Other polytunnels on the allotment didn’t survive. Mine survived without any problems...great design, solid construction.

back in 2002 I purchased my first tunnel from the same co., we built it ourselves, so I knew that the product would be perfect,. This time the company team erected my new tunnel and wow, what a brilliant team they are, they talked to me on the site, so that we both knew what I was wanting, and then got straight on with the job, they were absolutely brilliant, no hanging about, they just worked continuously, in a very organized way. Where do I start ?? Service. To say its excellent is understating it. I mean who rings clients up to say the product is on its way ?? That hasn't happened before. Now to the product which is superb very well thought out and you can tell its been refined over time. This review sound quite clinical but it was a pleasure to put up, the vids were a great help and a great reference point. As you start to assemble you very quickly realise that you need a trained octopus as a companion, hold this, tighten that, drill this, but you get there and as I said its been thought out very well. One very small point to get the tension required is difficult, if you have a side ventilation it is a lot easier so maybe this is something that could be looked at. Overall it was great fun thanks

Good quality product, just what we were hoping for.

An excellent product and well made. The only thing i could say is maybe for First Tunnels to either include, or offer as an optional extra, a handle on the tunnel door, as it is a little awkward to pull the door closed, This isn't a complaint, just a suggestion.

Very happy with the speedy delivery and the qualtiy of the product, thank you. One word of caution - do not underestimate the time and sill required to erect a polytunnel. I am sure the effort will be worthwhile, and hopefully the end result will last much longer as a result...but allow 2/3 days for 2 bodies to erect.

Appears to be good quality products that have been used. Good communication by phone and email to help choose the correct options when ordering the tunnel.

The poly tunnel is of great quality and appears to be able to withstand all weathers.

Really pleased with the polytunnel, and the instructions and videos are good. But the videos dont show everything so had to go looking on you tube for some of it. had to phone there construction helpline once Mark was extremely helpfull.

The poly tunnel was very easy to assemble and the instructions were great! Easy to follow and with every step, there was a video guide online to watch if ever you were uncertain... it will take a while to put up but once you get the hang of what's needed it was quite simple to do! The quality of the materials was great.. all of recommend is buying your own roll of gaffer tape as the 3 small rolls supplied where not enough

Brilliant service and product

I shall be using the tunnel to store equipment and over-winter less hardy plants. The wide entrance means I am able to get the trucks right to where the plants are to be stored and I now have a workshop. Excellent product and easy to put up if you take your time and get each process right.
