Commercial Hinged Double Door

Commercial hinged double door and outer frame

Create a wide entrance to your polytunnel with our Commercial Hinged Double Door and Outer Frame, as used in our Commercial Polytunnel range. The double doors provide an opening approximately 7ft 6in wide × 7ft high (2.3m × 2.1m).

The doors and outer frame are made from pressure-treated timber, with polythene door panels included.

Outer end frame

The end frame uses 100mm × 47mm pressure-treated timber and comprises two 3m upright posts and a 3m lintel. A double row of timber battens is included to secure the main polytunnel cover to the frame.

Inner doors

Each inner door uses 75mm × 47mm pressure-treated timber, with two 2.1m upright posts and three 1m cross pieces. A single row of timber battens secures the polythene panel to each inner door.

All timber is sourced from well-managed forests. First Tunnels is FSC certified.

Fitting your door frame

For an earth base, we recommend securing the end frame approximately 38cm into the ground. Before fitting, check that the remaining 2.62m post length reaches the hoop.

If it does not reach, you may need a horizontal rail beneath the hoop to attach the door posts to. You can configure a suitable rail on our Tube page.
