In June 2020, First Tunnels Polytunnels welcomed a new addition to their already well-established team, Matthew Harrison, formally ‘Operations Director’ of Northern Polytunnels.
“I’ve worked for Northern Polytunnels for over 23 years I’m proud to add my years of knowledge and expertise to enhance First Tunnels further, ensuring its focus on quality and product improvement, continues.
To move companies after almost 24 years and amid the COVID pandemic was a difficult decision. After a lengthy conversation with Sean Barker, Managing Director, it was apparent to me that I was making the correct decision. It was refreshing to discuss with Sean, his focus on the customer. Being a Living Wage Employer, demonstrated to me that their sole focus was not on the bottom dollar. First Tunnels are so successful, due to concentrating on what they do best – Polytunnels“, says Matthew.
Matthew will apply his vast commercial knowledge to the company, helping to improve their manufacturing operations, prompt order fulfilment and an increase in on-site construction capabilities.
Matthew’s experience of dealing with the largest of commercial growers throughout the UK brings an added skillset to First Tunnels Polytunnels for both new and old customers alike, and to bolster an already strong customer service team.
Several previous customers of Northern Polytunnels, have already been in touch with First Tunnels and placed their orders with Matthew. First Tunnels mantra, is to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction, and Matthew can only amplify and strengthen this philosophy.
First Tunnels continue to grow year on year, with 2020 set to be the best year since our journey began in 1991.
