After our local school called to say they had suffered some damage to their polytunnel cover, we thought it would be a good idea to get the polythene patched up before they broke up for the half term holidays, making sure it was secure and less prone to further damage by our furry friends and inclement weather.
Fixing Tears and Rips
Although not your average “accidental” puncture in a polythene cover, the strength and flexibility of translucent polythene repair tape soon made this polythene cover weather and wind resistant in no time at all.
We would strongly recommend replacing the polythene when large holes appear in the cover, just in case a gust of wind sends it up like a kite, however, it’s always handy to have a roll of polythene repair tape on standby for those unforeseen emergencies to help the polythene cover limp along until you are ready to replace it.
