Super Clear - 720 gauge (180 micron)
Designed specifically for the UK where low light levels are common. This film allows 95% light transmission allowing through more of the light spectrum used by plants. It also scatters light entering the tunnel. FOR USE WITH All crops which are frost hardy, where you don't need to introduce heat, such as over wintered nursery stock, hardy herbaceous perennials, or where the tunnel is only to be used for summer production of vegetables or flower crops.
Thermal Anti Fog - 720 gauge (180 micron)
This film has added UV A & UV B filters which dramatically reduce many fungal diseases & condensation. It also contains an Infra-Red additive designed to reduce the speed at which heat dissipates out through the cover - in heated greenhouses 15-20% fuel savings are achieved. FOR USE WITH All crops where heat is important such as bedding/annual plants, propagation houses & over wintered vegetable production.
Super White - 720 gauge (180 micron)
This film reduces light transmission to 70%, and ultimately the temperature inside the structure. This film is most useful where sun scorch is a problem for growers. It is also suitable for animal husbandry applications and other stock and storage houses where a great build up of heat is not ideal. FOR USE WITH those plants that would normally grow under a shade canopy, species as diverse as camellias and impatiens.
Smart Green - 600 gauge (150 micron)
A forest canopy is not just darker but the canopy plants have absorbed much of the red spectrum and so plants that have evolved and adapted to grow in these conditions don’t do as well in full sun conditions. By mimicking the shade of a forest floor, it also makes it a cooler environment to work in. FOR USE WITH shade loving plants.
Smart Blue - 600 gauge (150 micron)
This film stimulates natural triggers in the plants which reduces the height of many plants and is also useful in holding them in good condition so that they remain saleable longer. Plant flowering will be reduced by about 2 weeks. Plants have shorter internodes, better basal branching and enhancing leaf colour. Also gives cooler working climate in summer. FOR USE WITH bedding plants.
Green/White Mushroom - 800 gauge (200 micron)
This film is green one side and white the other, with excellent resistance to UV degradation. This film is used for mushroom houses and storage buildings. Minimum order for this product is 10m.
1.5m Wide Super Clear - 720 gauge (180 micron)
Manufactured so the same high specification as our Super Clear - 720 gauge (180 micron) polythene as used on our polytunnels, but made to a 1½m width. The narow width makes it IDEAL FOR Door coverings, side ventialtion screens, heavy duty cloches etc. Order from as little as 1m. Full rolls also available.
2m Wide Clear - 500 gauge (125 micron)
2m Wide Clear - 500 gauge UV stabilised polythene. IDEAL FOR cloches. Order from as little as 1m. Full rolls also available.
